Oasis fans have reason to rejoice as the iconic band has announced three extra concert dates in the UK for their highly anticipated reunion tour next year. The band cited “unprecedented demand” as the driving force behind the decision to add these additional gigs following registration for a ticket pre-sale.
The Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, confirmed Oasis’s reunion on Tuesday morning, putting an end to weeks of speculation. This comeback comes 15 years after Noel’s departure from the band, marking the end of Oasis – until now. The newly added tour dates include: 16 July at Heaton Park, Manchester; 30 July at Wembley, London; and 12 August at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh. With these new dates, the band is set to play a total of five concerts at Wembley, five in Manchester, and three in Scotland.
Ticket Sale Information
Tickets for the additional tour dates, just like the initial gigs, will go on sale on Saturday morning. In a bid to allow some lucky fans early access to tickets, the band announced a pre-sale ballot, which led to an overwhelming flood of entries. This move heightened excitement amongst fans, but also sparked complaints about price gouging by hotels in the concert areas.
Prior to the official announcement, media reports hinted at Oasis playing a record-breaking 10 dates at Wembley and headlining Glastonbury. However, the band swiftly put these rumors to rest, clarifying that they would not be performing at Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals in the coming year. Instead, their focus remains on the Oasis Live ’25 World Tour.
The Reunion Announcement
Both Noel and Liam Gallagher took to their social media platforms to share the long-awaited reunion news, with a statement from Oasis declaring, “This is it, this is happening.” The brothers were pictured together for the first time in years to commemorate the announcement, hinting at a new chapter for the band 15 years after their split.
Behind the Reunion Decision
Addressing the reasons behind their reunion after years of estrangement, Oasis revealed that there was no singular moment that spurred their decision. Instead, it was a gradual realization that the time was right for them to come back together. The 30th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe, played a subconscious role in influencing their choice to reunite.
While Oasis has hinted at further tour dates outside of Europe, specific details about the lineup for the reunion tour have yet to be confirmed. Fans are left wondering if members from Oasis’s previous lineups will join them on tour, or if new musicians will be added to the mix. The band has not disclosed any plans for releasing new music at this time.
As Oasis prepares to take the stage once again, fans around the world eagerly anticipate the opportunity to witness a musical phenomenon come back to life. The added concert dates in the UK only serve to heighten the excitement surrounding their reunion tour, promising unforgettable performances and a nostalgic journey through their legendary discography.
